menswear (inspried)

Menswear inspired pieces give feminine outfits a little edge.  You can either, as Maier said, literally borrow from your boyfriend, or you can purchase a couple staple menswear inspired pieces.  I tend to take the latter route for fit reasons.  Menswear inspried womenswear is a trend I adore -- comfortable but still chic.  Lace-up oxfords, boyfriend shirts, blazers, vests, pleated trousers, herringbone... you name it, I love it.  All you need is a couple staple pieces to mix and match with a dress or skinny jeans.
